Oct 06 - Man Pleads Guilty To Kitten Cruelty Charge

A local man accused of mistreating and causing unnecessary suffering to a stray kitten pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals.

Sergio Orciel, of Lynch’s Lane, appeared before the Magistrates’ Court this morning in relation to an incident which took place in May earlier this year. 

A pre-sentence report has been requested and during this time the defendant will be interviewed by social services. He will be sentenced on Thursday 27^th October at the Magistrates’ Court. 

Suresh Mahtani appeared for Orciel.
