Oct 12 - Man Arrested For Drugs Offences

Drug Squad officers have arrested a 57-year-old local man for Possession and Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Class B drug, namely three slabs of cannabis resin weighing approximately 200grms.

The arrest followed a search of the man’s residence yesterday morning with the assistance of Drugs dogs. The operation also saw the seizure of approximately £11,000 and 4,000 euros in cash that was found during the search of the residence.

The drugs seized have a street value of approximately £1,000, and the man is currently on police bail pending further investigation.
