Oct 12 - Three Arrested In Varyl Begg Drugs Bust
A 60-year-old local man, a 38-year-old local woman and a 17-year-old male juvenile have been arrested on suspicion of being in Possession of a Controlled “Class B” drug, namely, a slab of cannabis resin weighing approximately 100grms.
Two wrappers containing a minor quantity of suspected controlled drugs and a small amount of herbal cannabis were also seized during the incident.
The arrests came about after Area Response Team officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the area of Varyl Begg Estate yesterday evening.
All three persons are currently on police bail pending further enquiries.
