Oct 12 - Man Charged Following Hospital Ramp Drugs Raid

A 27-year-old British national Richard Austin, of Hospital Ramp, has been charged with one count of Possession and one count of Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled “Class B” Drug, namely Cannabis Resin weighing approximately 1.6 kilograms.

The charges follow his arrest by Drug Squad officers earlier today after a search conducted at Austin’s residence with the assistance of an RGP Drugs Dog.

This resulted in the seizure of several cannabis slabs weighing approximately 1.6 kilograms with an approximate street value of £8,000.

Austin has been detained in police custody and will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
