Oct 17 - Man Charged Following Drugs Raid

A 33-year-old man has been charged with Possession and Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Class B drug, namely, Cannabis Resin weighing approximately 481.5grms.

Cameron Routledge, of Barham House, Varyl Begg Estate was arrested following an operation conducted by Drugs Squad officers during the morning of Friday 14th October, with the assistance of CID officers and an RGP Drugs Dog.

Routledge’s residence and a locally registered vehicle were searched during the operation. In total, 4.5 slabs of cannabis found and seized from within the vehicle.

Routledge remains in police custody and will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court today.

The street value of the drugs seized is of approximately £2,400.
