Dec 13 - Spanish National Pleads Guilty To Drugs Charges

A 42-year-old Spanish national was charged with offences of Importation of a Prohibited Import, Possession and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.

The charges follow Ricardo Sanchez Perez' arrest yesterday by Drug Squad officers, leading to the seizure of a wrapper containing cocaine weighing approximately 15 grams, with an approximate street value of £900.00.

Sanchez Perez, a resident of La Linea, was detained in police custody overnight, and appeared before the Magistrates’ Court this morning. He pleaded guilty, and the matter has been adjourned for sentencing at the Supreme Court.
