Dec 15 - Man Who Just Left Prison Charged With Burglary
A man who was released from prison yesterday morning after having served a sentence for burglary was arrested again last night.
Jason Santos, 26, of Orsova House, Varyl Begg Estate, has been charged with one count of Burglary and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug.
The charge follows his arrest last night, after uniformed Response Team officers responded to an alarm activation at a licensed premises in the area of Queensway Quay Marina. Following a systematic search, Santos was located hiding within the premises in question, and was additionally arrested for being in possession of several blister packs containing controlled Class C drugs.
Santos was detained in police custody overnight and will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
