Mar 29 - Fisherman Accused Of Stealing Reef Block To Face Trial

The Spanish fisherman accused of stealing a concrete block from the artificial reef will go on trial at the Magistrates’ Court in October.

Leoncio Fernandez Ramos, of Puente Mayorga in Cadiz, Spain, maintains his innocence in relation to one count of theft which allegedly took place in June 2014.

Fernandez Ramos will go on trial before the Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 12^th and Friday 13^th October, with bail conditions to continue until then.

Patrick Canessa appeared for the defendant and Damian Conroy appeared for the Crown.
