Jun 08 - Traffic And Parking Restrictions For Calentita Night

Preparations are now underway for the Calentita Night event this coming Saturday 10th June.

The RGP has announced the following parking restrictions and traffic management measures:

PARKING RESTRICTIONS

Parking of vehicles along the areas mentioned below will not be allowed as stipulated:

• Waterport Road (south side) opposite Watergardens – from 0600hrs on the 9th June 2017, until further notice (except buses). 

• Fish Market Road, from junction with Market Place to bend past The Fruit House - from 1800hrs on the 8th June 2017 until further notice. 

• Chatham Counterguard (opposite restaurants) – from 1400hrs on the 9th June 2017 until further notice. 

• Corral Road PSV lay-by (opposite The Ocean Restaurant) – from 1800hrs on the 8th June 2017 until further notice (except taxis). 

• TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS / ROAD CLOSURES
• No entry to bus terminus at Market Place for all vehicles except those loading and unloading equipment for the event as from 2100hrs on the 8th June 2017. 

• Fish Market Road, from its junction with Market Place and bend just past The Fruit House, will be closed to traffic as from 0900hrs on the 10th June 2017, until further notice. 

• From 0900hrs on the 10th June 2017 until further notice, the stretch of road between the junction of Reclamation Road / Chatham Counterguard and Ocean Heights at Fish Market Road, will be a 2-way system for residents ONLY. 

• No traffic to be allowed from Corral Road into Market Place as from 2100hrs on the 8th June 2017, until further notice. (Vehicles used for loading / unloading of equipment for the event will be allowed in this zone). 

• No traffic to be allowed from Waterport into Market Place as from 0900Hrs on the 10th June 2017, until further notice. 

• Casemates Hill will be closed to traffic as from 1600hrs on the 10th June 2017.
