Oct 26 – Two Local Men Arrested By Customs And RGP Marine Sections

Following a high-speed chase yesterday, the HM Customs and RGP Marine Sections arrested two local men and seized one Spanish-registered semi-rigid inflatable vessel.

The chase took place at midday when the vessel was observed travelling on the east side within British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. A chase ensued by HM Customs and the RGP ending just off Rosia Bay Battery. The two local men, both of them aged 26, where arrested for operating and importing a prohibited import and released on police bail.

The arrests once again highlight the importance of good cooperation amongst local agencies.
