Drug Squad Seize £5,800 Of Cocaine

Yesterday evening, a British National was stopped by Drug Squad officers and found to be in possession of approximately 100 grams of Cocaine.

A statement from the Royal Gibraltar Police follows below:

At 2000hrs on Tuesday 19th November 19, as a result of observations carried out, Drug Squad officers stopped and searched Nicholas COOPER DoB 03/12/1991, a British National, resident in Spain, at Winston Churchill Avenue close to the Frontier. COOPER was found to be in possession of approximately 100 grams of Cocaine, which were individually wrapped. He was then arrested for the following offences: 

Possession of a Class A controlled Drug. Possession with Intent to Supply a Class A controlled Drug. Attempted exportation of a Class A Controlled Drug. 

COOPER was subsequently interviewed and later charged with the three drug related offences, and will appear in Magistrates Court this morning 20th November 19. 

The approximate street value of the cocaine seized is £5,800.
