Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Historical Sex Offences
A 59-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the Rape of a Child Under the Age of 13 and of the Sexual Assault of a Child Under the age of 13. Detectives from the RGP’s Safeguarding Team arrested the local man early this morning.
The alleged incidents took place in various locations around Gibraltar between 1998 and 2009 when the two victims were aged between 6 and 15.
The man has been interviewed under caution by police and has been released on bail with strict conditions. Further investigations and a forensic examination of various storage devices are yet to be conducted. No additional persons are being sought at this time.
