June 21 - European Arrest Warrant – Removal By Portuguese Authorities
Acting on a European Arrest Warrant the Portuguese Authorities removed British national Gary Reginald FRENCH, aged 51 of Manilva, Spain from Gibraltar shortly after 3pm yesterday afternoon.
FRENCH was arrested on the 18th of January 2012 in Gibraltar and had remained in custody since. He was removed from the jurisdiction following an unsuccessful appeal, challenging his extradition, to the Privy Council.
FRENCH was handed over to the Portuguese Authorities at Winston Churchill Avenue by the Land Frontier just prior to him passing over into Spain for onward transit to Portugal. (Bottom pic shows French on the right)
