Aug 06 - Driving Whilst Disqualified Conviction – Mendez
In the Magistrates Court today, 26 year old Jose Manuel MENDEZ of 38/7 Flat Bastion Road was sentenced to fourteen and ten weeks imprisonment to be served consecutively following convictions for driving offences.
He was additionally disqualified from driving for three years.
MENDEZ was convicted of one count of driving whilst disqualified, one count of failing to stop when signalled by an officer and one count of driving without due care and attention in relation to an incident in April of this year for which the fourteen weeks of imprisonment sentence was imposed. As a result of an earlier incident in February of this year he was convicted of driving whilst disqualified, no insurance, and failing to follow indications given by traffic signs. A ten week imprisonment sentence was imposed.
