Nov 20 - RGP Report Further Tobacco Arrests
Officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police have arrested a number of Spanish Nationals for tobacco offences following three separate incidents:
At about 10am on Monday the 18th of November a 37 year old Spanish man was arrested for being in possession of a commercial quantity of tobacco, he was found in possession of 6000 cigarettes. The tobacco was seized. He has since been released on bail.
Shortly after 12pm on the same day, a 22 year old Spanish female was arrested for being possession of a commercial quantity of tobacco, after the vehicle she was driving was found to contain 12800 cigarettes. Both the vehicle and the tobacco have been seized. The woman was later released on bail.
In the third incident on the same day at about 2.30pm, two Spanish men aged 24 and 22 respectively were arrested for tobacco offences after being found in possession of 37600 cigarettes at Eastern Beach. The tobacco was seized and the two men later released on police bail.
