Nov 21 - Juveniles Charged for Multiple Burglaries
Two local juveniles aged 17 and 16 have been arrested and charged following a number of burglaries in commercial and Government premises during the month of November. The two young men were jointly charged with one count of burglary in respect of a burglary on the 20th November at commercial premises on Devil’s Tower Road.
In addition the 16 year old was charged with two counts of burglary at commercial premises also on Devil’s Tower Road. These are alleged to have occurred on the 13th and 17th of November 2013. He was also further charged with a burglary at the Tercentenary Sports Complex alleged to have occurred on the 19th of November 2013.
The 16 year old was kept in cells whilst the 17 year old was released on police bail. They are scheduled to appear in Court this afternoon.
Both remain on police bail in relation to a fifth burglary. The 17 year old male will answer to police bail in January in relation to the burglary at the Tercentenary Sports Complex and two of the commercial premises at Devil’s Tower Road.
The case is being investigated by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department.
