Dec 23 - Spanish National Charged In Cocaine Case
A 38 year old Spanish national, Juan Jesus FERNANDEZ SANCHEZ of La Linea, Spain was arrested on Thursday the 19th of December by officers of the RGP’s Drug Squad after allegedly committing drugs offences.
He was subsequently charged with:
1) One count of possession of approximately 9 grams of Cocaine.
2) One count of possession with intent to supply of a controlled drug, approximately 9 grams of Cocaine.
3) One count of importing a prohibited import, approximately 6 grams of Cocaine.
FERNANDEZ SANCHEZ was then kept in cells pending his appearance at the Magistrates’ Court at 1000hrs the 23rd of December.
Also arrested were two local men age 27 and 29 respectively. They have been released on bail whilst investigations continue.
A number of residential premises were searched during the investigation; the searches were assisted by the RGP Dog Section.
