Apr 03 - RGP Warn Of Bank Email Scam
The Royal Gibraltar Police have received a number of reports from persons receiving e-mails that appear to be from a local Bank asking them to ‘confirm’ certain details relating to their bank accounts.
For persons targeted via e-mail, there is a link to a web page in order to log in and ‘confirm your identity’ where persons are asked to verify all their details. Please be aware that banks would not normally request such level of detail from their customers either online or over the telephone and therefore members of the public are urged to disregard any such contact and not to attempt to log into the Web link.
