Apr 04 - RGP Commissioner Travels as EAASP President
Commissioner of Police Eddie Yome has undertaken a series of meetings and presentations throughout this week in various countries as President of the European Association of Airport and Seaport Police (EAASP).
Mr. Yome initially travelled to Athens where he met the Director Aliens Police & HCG at the Hellenic Police Headquarters where he provided a presentation on the work of the EAASP.
The Commissioner then visited Tirana, Albania where he met and provided a presentation on EAASP to the Director of the Albania State Police and Director of Border and Immigration Directorate.
From there Mr. Yome travelled to Austria for a meeting at the Ministry of Interior in Vienna and presenting to the National Frontex contact of Border Management Airport and Aviation Security Colonel Johann Riedel.
Commissioner Yome then moved on to Bratislava, Slovakia, where he met with Colonel Adrian Began, Director, Bureau of Border and Aliens Police.
A very a hectic week but one where the RGP and Gibraltar, through Mr. Yome, once again played a leading role in the EAASP’s contribution to security across Europe.
