Jun 06 - Local Fined for Exporting Goods Without a Permit

gib courts 39 year old local resident Lee Cruz Parry of Royal Sovereign House, Varyl Begg appeared at the Magistrates Court on Tuesday on a charge of Being Knowingly Concerned in the Exportation of Goods from Gibraltar without a permit. He pleaded guilty and was fined £2,000.00.

The case dates back to the 31st July 2013 when Cruz Parry and three foreign nationals were seen driving up to the frontier in two vehicles and throwing four boxes wrapped in black plastic over the fence into Spain. Persons waiting on the other side quickly removed these boxes from the area.

The RGP intercepted both vehicles and arrested all four men including Cruz Parry.
