Jun 27 - Local Man Sentenced In Cocaine Case

A 48 year old local man appeared at the Magistrates Court yesterday.

Patrick Dean of Northview Terrace was arrested by RGP Drug Squad officers during a drugs operation on the 19th March 2014.

Dean was stopped in the area of Engineer’s Road and found to be in possession of two wrappers containing Cocaine. A search of his place of work revealed a further amount of Cocaine.

He appeared in court yesterday charged with possession of 3.6 grams of Cocaine.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment suspended for 2 years.
