Jul 15 - International Association of Women Police Representative Visits Gibraltar
The RGP recently hosted a visit by a member of the UK section of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP).
Visiting member, Ms Carolyn Williamson is set to organise the IAWP annual conference in 2015, which will be held in Cardiff in the UK. The IAWP was set up orginially in the United States in 1926. Their mission statement sets out to strengthen, unite and raise the profile of women in criminal justice internationally.
During her visit, Ms Williamson met with Commissioner of Police Eddie Yome and RGP Welfare Officer, and Chairman of the National Association of Well-Being Advisors, PC Henry Sacramento, amongst other officers.
