Oct 03 - RGP Announce Three Promotions
The Commissioner of Police Edward Yome is pleased to announce the following promotions.
Superintendent Richard Mifsud has been promoted to Chief Superintendent. Mr Mifsud joined the RGP on the 5th April 1983 and was promoted to Superintendent on the 31st July 2009. During his career he has served in a number of departments and was recently Superintendent in charge of Headquarters Division.
The post of Chief Superintendent will deputise for the Commissioner and have responsibility for discipline, policy formulation and management and other aspects of internal service delivery.
Chief Inspector Yeats has been promoted to substantive Superintendent having been a designate Superintendent. Mr Yeats joined the RGP on the 2nd January 1997 and was promoted to Chief Inspector on the 17th April 2012. He has served in a number of departments during his career and was recently Head of Crime and Protective Services, which includes overview of the Crime Division which include departments such as the Criminal Investigation Department, Special Branch, Drug Squad and Serious Crime Unit among others.
Police Constable Mark Garratt has been promoted to Sergeant. He joined the RGP on the 29th January 2005. He has served in the Operations Division and had recently been serving in the Serious Crime Unit.
