Oct 08 - RGP to Host Mid Term Kids Camp

Following the success of the Police Kids Summer Camp the RGP will host the Police Kids Mid-Term Camp, from Monday 27th October to Friday 31st October 2014.

Days will start at 0900hrs and end at 1230hrs, at the Neighbourhood Policing Unit base, at Rosia Compound (situated adjacent to Rosia Dale and the Southern end of Nelson’s View).

Under the care of the force’ School Liaison Officers, the children will take part in a number of activities including, a fitness test, detective work, a visit to the police station and Control Room, becoming a Scene of Crime Officer for a day, participating in a police launch patrol, and viewing a police dog display. The activities are designed to keep the children entertained whilst demonstrating what modern policing is about.

Registration will be exclusively available on the RGP’s website via a registration page that will become active on Friday as from 9am.

The force will give priority to children who have not had the opportunity to experience one of the former kids camps.
