Nov 14 - European Arrest Warrant Executed by RGP for 1992 Assault Case
Following a serious assault, dating back to 1992 in the area of La Linea, British national Dean Dixon, aged 57 years, was arrested in Gibraltar by the RGP in 2006 pursuant to a European Arrest Warrant issued by the Spanish Authorities.
Protracted legal proceedings then followed and recently terminated with the Privy Council allowing the handover to the Spanish Authorities.
At 1215 hours today Dixon was handed over by RGP officers to Spanish police officers at the land frontier with Spain.
Dixon is expected to appear before the court in Spain, shortly.
