Dec 29 - Spanish National Accused Of Raping A Minor Agrees To Extradition
A 59 year old Spanish national has agreed to be extradited to Spain following an appearance at the Magistrates’ Court.
Manuel SANCHEZ MONTERO, a resident of La Linea de La Concepcion, Spain is wanted by the Spanish judicial authorities following an alleged indecent assault in early December of this year. He is alleged to have raped and sexually assaulted a minor.
Arrangements for his extradition to Spain are underway and will take place within the next ten days. He has been remanded in custody at HM Prison Windmill Hill pending extradition.
SANCHEZ MONTERO was arrested in Gibraltar by officers of the Crime and Protective Services Division on Tuesday the 23rd of December and had been in police custody until his appearance at the Magistrates’ Court.
