Mar 31 – RGP Update: All Four Victims Had Wounds – Children’s Bodies Moved To SBH

The RGP has this afternoon confirmed that all four bodies discovered in a flat in Boschetti’s Steps yesterday had sustained wounds. The crime scene has been described by police as “difficult” and officers involved have already attended counselling.

The police has also confirmed that the bodies of the four-year-old girl and six-week-old baby have been transferred to St Bernard’s Hospital for an autopsy. The bodies of the adults – a 31-year old British man and a 37-year-old Spanish woman – remain at the scene where investigations continue but they are expected to be transferred to the mortuary later today.

Dr Cary, a Home Office forensic pathologist who has worked with the RGP in the past, is set to arrive on the Rock tomorrow followed by a paediatric pathologist.

As was the case yesterday, the RGP is not at this moment looking for anyone else who might have been involved in the deaths.

The RGP said that it is still not in a position to release the identities of the victims as relatives have yet to be contacted. The investigating team said it was liaising closely with law enforcement agencies in both the UK and Spain.

The Commissioner of Police, Eddie Yome, once again said that people should avoid speculation on social media but he also thanked the public for coming forward with information.

Anyone with any information which might be relevant to the investigation should contact the Duty Inspector on: 200 72500
