Apr 13 - Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Drink Driving As He Carried 7-Year-Old Child On Motorbike Without A Helmet
A local man was arrested on Saturday evening after he was seen driving at speed on a motorbike while carrying a 7-year-old child. Both rider and passenger were not wearing crash helmets.
Police ordered the man to stop but the motorbike was chased until eventually coming to a halt in Lower Witham’s Road. The man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and conveyed to New Mole House.
He has since been released on bail and is set to appear again in June. As he has not yet been charged, he cannot be named.
