Jun 04 - HM Customs Seize 600 Cartons Of Cigarettes

HM Customs have seized 600 cartons of cigarettes, valued at £10,000, during a raid carried out this morning.

Officers of HM Customs raided a premises situated in the area of Ocean Heights as part of a customs operation targeting illegal cigarette trade.

A Spanish national, who is a resident of La Linea, has been arrested and is currently assisting customs with enquiries.
