Jun 16 - HM Customs Arrest Body Stuffer At Frontier
A local woman suspicious of carrying drugs in her body, was stopped by customs officers after a preliminary search while attempting to cross into Spain, yesterday afternoon.
The twenty-nine-year-old in question refused to be medically examined and was kept in custody after Senior Customs Officers authorised her detention under provisions of the Imports & Exports Act.
In the early hours of this morning, the female expelled a plastic wrapper containing approximately two grams of Cocaine and Heroin and a smaller amount of cannabis resin.
She has now been released on bail and is due to be charged at a later date.
Body packers, as they are commonly known, swallow or insert drug-filled packets into a body cavity in an attempt to smuggle them across borders.
