Jun 18 - Three Spaniards Arrested Following £28k Irish Town Burglary
Following an extensive investigation into a burglary committed at a commercial premises in Irish Town earlier this month, officers of the RGP’s Criminal Investigations Department yesterday arrested three Spanish nationals.
Shortly after 10:20am yesterday, at Corral Road, CID officers arrested 46-year-old Jose Rosado Moya, an unemployed resident of La Linea de la Concepcion, 28- year-old Luis Adrian Garcia Beltran, also unemployed and resident in La Linea and another male Spanish national who cannot presently be named for legal reasons.
The men were conveyed to RGP headquarters where they were processed and later interviewed in relation to the alleged theft of a safe containing approximately £28,000 in cash from the premises known as Mozart in Irish Town.
Jose Rosado Moya and Luis Adrian Garcia Beltran were subsequently charged with one count of Burglary and returned to cells pending their appearance before the Magistrates’ Court this morning. The third man was released on Police bail pending further investigations.
