Jun 29 - Large Tobacco Seizure Early This Morning
In the early hours of this morning, RGP officers seized a total of 50,000 cigarettes which were contained in several holdalls within the boot area of a locally registered vehicle driven by a 30-year old local man.
The vehicle had been stopped by Police in the area of Smith Dorrien Avenue after the driver had raised the suspicions of officers. The man was arrested for being in possession of a commercial quantity of tobacco without a licence and unlawful transportation of tobacco. He is currently on Police bail.
