Jul 08 - Man Charged Following Varyl Begg Drugs Raid

Yesterday afternoon, officers of the RGP Drug Squad executed a Search Warrant at a residence in Carmania House, Varyl Begg Estate.

During the search, a total of 185 grams of Cannabis Resin together with drug paraphernalia were seized by officers. As a result, 21 year-old local man Daniel Young, unemployed, was arrested by officers on suspicion of being in unlawful possession of the said drugs and possession with intent to supply same.

Young was conveyed to Police Headquarters where he was interviewed in relation to his arrest and later charged with one count of being in unlawful possession of 185 grams of Cannabis resin and one count of being in unlawful possession of the said drug with Intent to Supply another or others.

He will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
