Two Local Men Arrested In Separate Police Investigations

Police have arrested a 43 year old local man on suspicion of burglary and a 51 year old local man on suspicion of theft following separate incidents.

A statement from the RGP follows below:

A 43 year old local man has been arrested on suspicion of Burglary. 

The arrest follows a Burglary reported at a catering establishment in the evening of  Sunday 12th July 2026. 

Response Team officers attended the scene, and following analysis of CCTV imagery,  the investigation resulted in the suspect being arrested at his residence on Monday  afternoon.  

The investigation remains ongoing. 

In a separate incident, officers responded to a report concerning the theft of cosmetic  products worth approximately £150.00 from a business in Main Street. 

The suspect was identified as a 51 year old local man, who was located shortly  afterwards within the city centre and arrested by Response Team officers on suspicion  of Theft.
