Over 2100 dancers from 28 nations and from five continents have registered to take part. Gibraltar will be represented in the Children’s division and in the Solo Female and Group sections. Dancers who form part of the Gibraltar National Team are:

Amber Chichon; Faye Gomez; Ayla Pizarro Santos; Emma Rocca; Caitlin Rodriguez; Amy Wink; Isabella Wink;

The World Modern and Jazz Championships will be staged at the Golebiewski Resort in Mikolajki, Poland, from the 7th to 12th December 2015. Over 1730 dancers from 26 nations and four continents have registered to take part. Gibraltar will be represented in the Adult Solo Female and Group sections. Dancers who will form part of the Gibraltar National Team are:

Alexandra Ballentine; Alanna Bonavia; Louise Gonzalez; Janis Jackson; Lauren Montero;

Both spectacular events are being organised by the International Dance Organisation (IDO).  The National Team’s choreographers for these Championships are Lilian Montero, Gerald Rodriguez, Genyka Celecia and Lauren Montero. National Team Manager for both events is GNDO Vice-President Wendy Garro.

GNDO President Seamus Byrne said:

“Competitions organised under the IDO umbrella are not an ordinary festival or competition in Europe or anywhere around the World. The Gibraltar National Team competes at the Olympics of Dance, were standards have increased tremendously and competition is super high.  We are delighted that Gibraltar’s best dancers come together to represent their country and work with different people who may not be their local dance teachers. Regardless of the results at these Championships, we will certainly continue with this philosophy for many more years to come.”
