Feb 03 - Tradewise Gibraltar Junior Chess Championships This Weekend
The Tradewise Gibraltar Junior Chess Championships will be held this Saturday and Sunday at the Caleta Hotel.
Saturday is for players under 18, 12 and 8 years of age and Sunday for players under 14 and 10 years of age as of 1st September 2015.
The closing date is this Friday 5th February. The entry fee is £1.
The timetable for each day is as follows: Round One 1 to 1.30pm.
Round Two 1.45 to 2.15pm.
Round Three 2.30 to 3pm.
Round Four 3.10 to 3.40pm
Round Five 3.50 to 4.20pm.
Round Six 4.30 to 5pm.
The prize giving will be at 5.05pm.
The Rate of Play: 15 minutes on each clock. This is not a knock out Tournament; each player will play each round. This event is open to players from outside Gibraltar as well as Gibraltarians. Players are welcome to play on both days if eligible and there will be a prize for the best Gibraltarian if there isn’t a local in the main prize list.
