The Self Determination for Gibraltar Group (SDGG) is pleased to confirm that this year’s National Celebrations will be held from Friday 19th August to the Saturday 10th September 2016.
The SDGG is working with the Gibraltar Cultural Services to produce a programme of events for the three weeks. The programme will include the Annual Gibraltar Fair, Art and Photographic Competitions, the Gibraltar Music Festival amongst other cultural and social events including the National Day events on Saturday 10th September 2016.
The SDGG is therefore inviting applications from Registered Charities, Clubs, Associations and Commercial Entities, who may be interested in setting up a stall, run a small catering stall or a bar facility at this year’s fair.
In addition, the SDGG invites applications for the running of the Family Pavilion. Applications must include a detailed programme of entertainment to be provided, with signed confirmation of the participation of the artists. Applications must include a detailed breakdown of accounts. Entrance to the pavilions must be free of charge.

NATIONAL DAY – 10th SEPTEMBER 2016
The SDGG is also inviting applications from local event companies for the following:
National Day Disco (Over 17’s)
The applicant must provide full details of the event that will be organised at the MUGA area from 2pm onwards on Saturday 10th September till late. All expenses need to be covered by the organiser.
National Day Disco (16 and under)
The applicant must provide full details of the event that will be organised from 2pm on Saturday 10th September. The SDGG will provide the venue. All expenses need to be covered by the organiser.
National Day Fireworks Display
The applicant must provide full details of display to be held at 10.30pm on Saturday 10th September from the Detached Mole. The organiser must also provide a breakdown expenses and of the fireworks to be used.
National Day Rock Concert
The applicant must provide full details of event to be held from 9pm on Saturday 10th September to 12.30am on Sunday 11th September at Casemates Square. The organiser must also provide a breakdown of expenses and a detailed outline of the event proposed.

SHOP WINDOW & BLOCK and PATIO COMPETITIONS
As part of the Celebrations the SDGG is pleased to announce that they will be re-introducing the Shop Window as well as the Block and Patio competitions as part of the National Celebrations.
Entry forms forms can be collected and handed back when completed, at the John Mackintosh Hall reception, Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 5pm.
The competitions are open to all Blocks and Patios as well as all Shop Windows. The theme is Gibraltar National Day with all entries required to display the red and white colours prominently, if not exclusively. Originality of decoration, time, effort and impact will form the criteria upon which the judges will select the three winners. Prizes will be awarded to the three winning entries in each competition.
