Nov 29 - A Sparkling Christmas Time At Ocean Village

Santa’s arrival to Ocean Village on Tuesday evening was heralded by the sound of sleigh bells, and the jolly fellow himself arrived with Disney princess Cinderella, the star of PJ Masks Catboy and his friendly elf to carry out the switching on lights ceremony, marking the beginning of Christmas festivities as hundreds of people gathered to watch the show and the whole area was flooded with sparkling blue and white lights.

Stunning Adele look-and-sound-alike, Nikki Rae, kicked off the show with a fantastic performance of Adele’s greatest hits and some of our favourite Christmas anthems.

‘Adele’ was soon joined by the entire Prior Park School Choir (all 36 of them!) who took to the stage and wowed the crowd with their beautifully sung Christmas carols with live keyboard accompaniment.

The cosy and beautifully decorated Santa’s Grotto is being held at O’Reillys this year, with entry at £5 in aid of Research into Childhood Cancer. Ocean Village still have available appointments with Santa on 4th, 5th and 6th December. You can call 200 400 48 for your appointment with Santa, his elf and Mickey Mouse in December.

Emilia Hazell-Smith, Events & Social Media Executive said: “This Christmas show was our best and most well-attended to date! We are delighted to be able to put on these events for families at Ocean Village and to raise money for such a great cause as Research into Childhood Cancer. We would like to sincerely thank our amazing sponsors this year, OV Express and O’Reillys Irish Bar, our hard-working team here at Ocean Village and STS Electrical Services, Prior Park School Choir who sang to us so beautifully, the Gibraltar Electricity Authority and all the volunteers from the charity, without whom this event would not have been possible.”
