GLMS Announce Jade Reunion Concert
Local band Jade are to reunite at Rock on The Rock on Saturday 14th September.
There will be 99 tickets available and are priced at £5 with all proceeds going to charity.
A GLMS Spokesperson said: "Among this year’s inaugural Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame Class of 2019 inductees are iconic local band JADE. They will all be reunited on stage for the first time since 1984! Their reunion + induction ceremony will be taking place on Saturday 14th September at Rock on The Rock.
"For us it is an honour to host an intimate and small Induction Ceremony for JADE. Originally they were all going to form part of the actual ceremony itself but as some of the band members won't be here on the day, we spoke to them as well as Rock on The Rock and off we went. We are very much looking forward to paying tribute to them and give them the thanks they rightfully deserve by inducting them into the Gibraltar Music Hall of Fame."
A spokesperson for Jade said: "On behalf of the guys - thank you so much! It is a real honour - as was the placing of the Gib flag on the Spanish musical map in those early days after the frontier re-opened. Thanks to the GLMS for organising this event specially for us. We are really looking forward to it."
Performing on the night will be Layla and Jonathan Bugeja.
