Mar 26 - Gibraltar Productions at Mediterranean Music Conference

Gibraltar Productions -the World Music Management Company based in Gibraltar- has participated in this year’s edition of Babel Med -the most important professional platform for the Mediterranean music- that has taken place in Marseille (France).

During three days, the Gibraltarian delegation (Yan Delgado, Fatosh Samuray and José Luis Martínez) has introduced the artists that now they are representing to more than 2,500 delegates and 275 companies from 60 countries. In fact, one of them, Mor Karbasi, has been awarded with the Orange Foundation Prize, chosen by the Internet users all around the world graced with 5,000 euros for her next projects.

Promoters, International Festivals, Managers and Producers, among others, have had the opportunity to know also more about the Gibraltar World Music Festival. In this case, the Gibraltar Production’s team has had several meetings with other International Festivals and members of the industry, like the EFWMF (European Forum of World Music Festivals), which is the largest European network for world music festivals, or the Association of Moroccan Festivals.

During the three day event, artists and professionals from around the world gather to develop their activities, detect new trends and exchange ideas and views within the scope of meetings, conferences and debates at Docks des Suds in Marseille, France.

The artists selected to take part in this festival have performed in front of international festival directors and programming managers, artistic agents and record labels. It has been open to the public who could satisfy their curiosity and taste for new musical talents. The festival accommodated around 16.000 people.
