Apr 09 - Reggae Giant ‘Steel Pulse’ to Perform in Gibraltar

steel pulse Gibraltar is set to welcome UK Reggae giant Steel Pulse this July, courtesy of Big Man Entertainment. The band is famed with being influential in promoting multi-culturalism in British society in the 1970’s. The duo’s early success caught the attention of legendary reggae label Island Records, who were responsible for giving them their first break supporting Bob Marley on his European Tour.

Steel Pulse won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 1986, for their record ‘Babylon Bandit’. They has thus far produced eleven studio albums and headlined some of the World’s largest reggae festivals.

The show, to be held at the Victoria Stadium Sports Complex on Friday 18th July 2014 promises to ‘provide entertainment in the more alternative musical genres that enjoy popularity in Gibraltar.’ The performance will be Big Man Entertainment’s inaugural show.  The company describes themselves as a ‘team of people with experience in the entertainment industry at home and abroad who are coming together in these exciting times on the Rock to bring you the very best in music, film and media.’
