Jul 04 - First Edition Of The Fine Arts Summer Show
The Fine Arts Association is organising an exhibition with a difference. Under the title “The Fine Arts Summer Show” the exhibition will feature works by a number of accomplished artists from Gibraltar and abroad and opens to the public on the 7th July at The Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates. The exhibition aims to make art more accessible to the general public and all works will be available on a “pay as you go” basis allowing buyers to walk away with their artworks once the purchase has been completed if they so desire. For this purpose artist are encouraged to submit artworks that are “affordably” priced and not exceeding £500.
Artists wishing to enter are subject to the following conditions:
Artists can only exhibit a maximum of two original works of art or photographs (no prints of original works allowed) at one given moment, but must have alternative works available to replace works that have been sold and removed.
Size not to exceed: 1mx1m
Price not to exceed: £500
Entrance fee (per artist): £10
Only paid up members of The Fine Arts Association will be able to submit works. (If you are not a member or have not yet been able to pay your subscription, it is possible to either join or pay on submission of work). Membership fee is £10 per annum
Works to be handed in at least one week before the official opening on the 7th July, to Gino at the Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates.
In order to enter all works must have a label affixed to the back with details including name of artist, title of work, sale price and artist’s email address and contact details.
Artists wishing to submit unframed work may do so as long as the work is properly mounted. For this purpose there will be a browser available.
