Dec 01 - Minister Linares Congratulates The Gibraltar International Dance Organisation
The Minister for Sports, Culture, Heritage & Youth, Steven Linares, would like to congratulate the Gibraltar National Dance Organisation and the Gibraltar National Team who participated at the International Dance Organisation’s European Championships in Riesa, Germany.
The Minister says he is delighted that Gibraltar is now the European Champion in the Children Solo Female category with many congratulations going to Caitlin Rodriguez for having won Gibraltar’s first Gold medal at a European competition out of the 23 entries from around Europe. Caitlin will have to defend this title next year here in Gibraltar where the European Championships will be held. Caitlin, says the Minister, has made Gibraltar proud in Riesa and will now make Gibraltar doubly proud when it’s in her home ground with the support of all dance groups and the whole of Gibraltar. Congratulations also go to all the Gibraltar National Team who participated in this prestigious event.
The Government of Gibraltar says it is looking forward to the IDO European Show Dance Championships that will be held in Gibraltar from the 1st to 4th October 2015.
