The Government is pleased to announce the return of the New Year’s Classical Music Concerts to the annual cultural calendar. The events will be organised for the Ministry of Culture by the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society in collaboration with Gibraltar Cultural Services.

The Society will be holding two New Year’s Concerts featuring The European Sinfonietta. These will be held at the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre on Sunday 4th January 2015. The first one will be a Children’s Matinee at 5pm and followed by an adult concert at 8pm.

The Minister for Culture, Steven Linares, said, ‘We are very proud that our Government has been able to reintroduce the New Year’s Classical Concert into our cultural calendar. We have been working very closely with the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society for the past two years to make this event a reality. I feel it is very important to introduce classical music to children, very early on.”
