Apr 14 - Dance Nationals Take Place Next Month
The Gibraltar National Dance Organisation is very busy organising the Dance Nationals to select Gibraltar’s National Team. The event takes place from Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th May at the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre.
The Championships will follow the same procedure of national competitions as accredited by the world governing body, the International Dance Organisation. Over 100 local dancers from the Gibraltar Academy of Dance, Mediterranean Dance School, Show Dance Company, Stylos Dance Studios,Transitions Dance Academy and Urban Dance will be competing at the event. Dancers have registered to compete in the solo, duet and group divisions and in the Children, Junior and Adult divisions.
Dancers who qualify from this competition will join those dancers already selected for the Formation section, and will form the 2015 Gibraltar National Dance Team. It is expected that GNDO will present a National Team consisting of over 150 local dancers to compete at the forthcoming IDO European Show Dance Championships to be held on the Rock in October 2015.

Tickets for the Festival priced at £7 per session are on sale as from Thursday 23rd April 2015 at the On Pointe Dance Shop in Grand Casemates Square between 11am to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm.
