Jun 19 - Congratulations To Jordan Bautista - Dancer Joins The Polish National Ballet
The Chief Minister has sent his heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the Government to Jordan Bautista on his fantastic achievement in joining the Polish National Ballet.
Jordan commenced his Classical Ballet training at age 11 at the Gibraltar Academy of Dance, under the tuition of Principal Paulette Finlayson. After a rigorous process of training, assessments and auditions, Jordan was accepted to study at the prestigious English National Ballet School, with a tuition fees scholarship from the Government. At age 15, after obtaining his GCSEs, Jordan embarked on his formal professional training: a first for a Gibraltarian and a remarkable achievement in itself.
Now close to graduation, Jordan has been awarded a contract as a professional corps de ballet dancer with the Polish National Ballet.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, said: ‘I would like to send my heartfelt congratulations to Jordan on his fantastic achievement. His natural talent and hard work mean that he is just at the beginning of a very promising career as a professional ballet dancer at the highest level. Gibraltar is proud of his accomplishments.’
