Aug 07 - IDO European Showdance Championships Schedule Announced
The Gibraltar National Dance Organisation is very busy organising the IDO European Show Dance Championships together with Santos Productions. The event takes place over four days between Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th October 2015 at the Tercentenary Sports Hall.
The Championships will follow the same procedure of international competitions as accredited by the world governing body, the International Dance Organisation. Over 370 dancers from around Europe have already registered to take part with more dancers expected to register before the closing date being 31st August 2015.
The IDO Championships will see European dancers compete in the solo, duet, group and formation sections and in the Children, Junior and Adult divisions. As already announced, IDO President Michael Wendt will supervise the competition whilst IDO Executive Presidium Vice President Fiona Johnson will be the Chairman of Judges.
The timetable for the European Show Dance Championships, subject to final approval by the world governing body is as follows:
Thursday 1st October 2015 as from 10am:
Children: Solo, Duets and Groups Preliminary Rounds and Quarterfinals
Junior: Solo, Duets and Groups Preliminary Rounds
Friday 2nd October as from 10am:
Children: Solo, Duets and Groups Semi Finals
Children: Formations Semi Finals
Junior: Solo, Duets and Groups Quarterfinals
Adult: Solo and Duets Preliminary Rounds

Saturday 3rd October as from 10am:

Tickets for the IDO European Championships will be on sale at the On-Pointe Dance Shop in Grand Casemates Square as from Wednesday 19th August 2015. Season Tickets are priced at £30 and £25 and individual tickets are priced at £12 & £10 per day. Ticket office opens from 11am to 2pm and pm to 6pm or alternatively you can purchase tickets at www.buytickets.gi.
