Gibraltar Cultural Services (GCS), on behalf of the Ministry for Culture, is organising the Spring Visual Arts Competition that will see changes to previous editions of the competition. It will now include new categories - video, photography and installations. This will keep in line with Government’s policy of promoting the visual and contemporary arts in Gibraltar and abroad.
The Government has announced the programme of events for this year’s May Day next Friday 1st May. The entertainment at Grand Casemates Square is being organised by the Gibraltar Cultural Services.
His Worship the Mayor, Adolfo Canepa, yesterday hosted a reception at the Fine Arts Gallery in connection with the Miss Gibraltar Pageant 2015.
As recently announced by the Chief Minister, the Government will shortly be opening the Mario Finlayson National Art Gallery. In order to brand the gallery, Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture held a competition to select a Logo for this new art gallery.
10 year old Caitlin Rodriguez from the Show Dance Company and 14 year old Sarah Anne McLaren from the Gibraltar Academy of Dance will be representing Gibraltar at the Sussex Festival for Dance and Song between 24th and 26th April. The event will be held in Crawley, England at the Hawth Theatre.
