The Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival “is about you” Gibraltar’s Tourism, Housing, Equality and Social Services Samantha Sacramento told a packed Festival Hall at the Caleta Hotel on Tuesday evening. Hosting the Gibraltar Government’s official dinner on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival she welcomed all players to the Rock.
The Government has said that it was “unexpected” that Justice Jack would deliver a judgment regarding the parole of Isaac Marrache because the Minister for Justice had previously issued a notice to discontinue such proceedings after having already authorized his release.
The Gibraltar Electricity Authority (GEA) has said that the power outage this morning, which affected most of Gibraltar, was caused when Ministry of Defence staff damaged a power cable located along Dockyard Road.
The annual Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival, which started this week at the Caleta Hotel, is now in its 15th year.

On Friday 20th January, Michel Lessen landed on the rock to facilitate the latest course offered by the Gibraltar Hockey Association (GHA).
