Sep 14 - Maternity Grant Increased To £700

As announced in this year’s budget, Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar is pleased to remind the public that the Maternity Grant payable under the Social Security (Insurance) Act has been increased from £600 to £700.

This increase shall apply in respect of births that occur on or after 1st August 2015.

Commenting on the above, the Honourable Neil F. Costa MP, Minister for Business and Employment said: “It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce the £100 increase to the Maternity Grant as from the 1st August 2015. The news will surely be welcome by all parents enjoying a new addition to the family.”
